AWARD GUIDELINES
Community Spirit Award
This award recognizes a business or business person who’s civic and community service goes beyond the normal responsibilities, resulting in a lasting and beneficial impact to the residents of Jurupa Valley. The nominee should be business or person who sets an example for commitment to the community, while maintaining a strong business image.
Young Achiever Award
This award recognizes a High School or College student recognized for one or more of the following qualities – Work Ethic, Community Service, Peer Leadership, Character Development and Personal Growth, Communication Skills, Spirit of Entrepreneurship, School Citizenship, Perseverance, Career Preparation and Commitment, and Demonstrated Creativity.
People’s Choice Award
Nominated by our residents, this award is presented to a business or organization that the citizens of Jurupa Valley wish to recognize. The business may be nominated simply as a favorite in the city, or may demonstrate exceptional performance in its support of this community and makes the citizens of Jurupa Valley proud because of their efforts. This is the only award to be nominated solely by members of the community.
Organization of the Year
This award recognizes a not-for-profit or service organization which has shown dedication to improving the quality of life in the community. This could be demonstrated through a project, service, or sponsorship that has had a positive impact on the community during the past year.
