Meet Micheal Goodland

Jurupa Valley City Council – District 2

My name is Micheal Goodland and I have been married to my wife Lorraine for 43 years. We are committed Christians, have 3-married sons, 11-grand children, and we have lived in Jurupa Valley for 41 years.

I was honored to be elected to  the first City Council upon incorporation of Jurupa Valley in 2011, and I currently serve on the Jurupa Valley City Council for District 2, a Vietnam Veteran 6-years in the U.S. Army, retired Peace Officer 22-years, formerly a substitute teacher for JUSD, Asst. Scout Master Troop 129 Mira Loma, JVHS Football Booster Club member/President, and I currently serve on the Board of Directors for Habitat for Humanity Riverside. I was honored to be a Fellow for the ‘Center for Civic Policy and Leadership’, I currently serve on Norco College Presidents Advisory Board, and very active with Healthy Jurupa Valley Initiative since its inception in 2012.

My service to my city has given me an exclusive perspective on the quality of life for the residents of Jurupa Valley. I will fight to sustain a rural equestrian lifestyle, a balanced budget, a reasonable growth of development, and provide an honest level of governance to my community. I have a B.S. Degree in Business from Cal Baptist College/University.

My priorities have been and will continue to be fiscal responsibility, public safety, and the complete health and welfare of our citizens.

I sincerely appreciate your vote, and look forward to continuing my service to my city.

Micheal D. Goodland
